When a company is too lenient in enforcing Covid-19 rules and procedures, a majority of employees will complain, be afraid of catching the virus and potentially quit.
Delta Air Lines Is Raising Health Insurance Premiums For Unvaccinated Employees By $200 A Month To Cover Higher Covid Costs
Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian notified employees Wednesday that they will face $200 monthly increases on their health insurance premiums starting Nov. 1 if they aren’t vaccinated against Covid-19, citing steep costs to cover employees who are hospitalized with the virus. Unvaccinated employees will face other restrictions, including indoor masking effective immediately and weekly Covid-19 tests starting Sept. 12 the Atlanta-based airline said in announcing new Covid policies for employees.
Baby On Cover Of ‘Nevermind’ Sues Nirvana Alleging Child Pornography
Spencer Elden, the man who appears on Nirvana’s “Nevermind” album as a nude baby, is suing the band alleging the photo is child pornography. The suit, filed on Monday in the U.S. District Court’s Central District of California, accuses Nirvana of violating federal child pornography laws in using the image and is asking the court for a trial by jury. Elden is seeking $150,000 in damages from each of the 15 defendants named, which include Nirvana, Warner Records, Universal Records, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Courtney Love (as the executor of Kurt Cobain’s estate), Guy Oseary and Heather Parry (as managers of Cobain’s estate).
Former Top Producer Of ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ Accused Of Sexual Assault In Lawsuit
An ABC News staffer filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Michael Corn, the former top producer of “Good Morning America,” alleging he sexually assaulted her and fostered a toxic work environment. Kirstyn Crawford, a producer on the morning show, alleged that Mr. Corn assaulted her in 2015 during a business trip to Los Angeles, according to the suit, which was filed in New York state court.
Verizon Media Executives Still Don’t Know If They’ll Have Jobs As Apollo Seeks To Close Yahoo Deal On Sept. 1
Apollo Global Management is preparing to close its $5 billion acquisition of Verizon Media on Sept. 1, and the private equity firm is already causing consternation among existing executives at the company soon to be known as Yahoo. Apollo hasn’t informed Verizon Media leadership, including Chief Executive Guru Gowrappan, of their new roles at the company once the private equity firm takes over, according to people familiar with the matter. The lack of information has irritated current Verizon employees, who don’t know if they have a long-term future with the company, said the people, who asked not to be named because the discussions are private.

Ford Delays Return-To-Work Program Until January Due To Covid Delta Surge
Ford Motor is delaying its hybrid return-to-work program for employees who have not already returned to offices from October until no earlier than January due to the rapidly spreading delta variant of the coronavirus. The automaker informed staff of its plans Wednesday morning, about five months after initially announcing the flexible working program for its roughly 86,000 employees globally who hadn’t returned to work yet.
