Job Seekers are outraged over being pressured to undergo three to 10 interviews over six months or more. Some are asked to take tests, do projects or sit for invasive psychometric exams. There’s a lack of feedback and long periods of an absence of communication. No appreciation is extended to applicants for their time. Rude and dismissive treatment is commonplace. After all of the meetings, they complain of getting ghosted.

U.S. Job Openings Remain At A Historic High, Giving Job Seekers Options
Job openings remained at a historic high in May, more evidence that workers are in high demand as the economy bounces back from the pandemic. Openings reached 9.2 million, according to the Labor Department, about what they were a month earlier. They’re about 30% higher than they were in February 2020, right before the pandemic. While the May numbers remain little changed since April, there were some declines in job openings in certain sectors such as real estate, warehouses and transportation. Other sectors, meanwhile, continue to face staffing shortages.
5 Things You Must Do If You’re Trying To Negotiate A More Flexible Work Schedule
As companies across the U.S. prepare to reopen their office doors, many may find their employees resistant to losing the flexibility they gained while working from home. This is especially true of working parents, many of whom were forced to take on additional roles such as teacher and daycare provider while the country was in lockdown. In fact, when TopResume surveyed over 1,500 U.S. working mothers, it found that 58% had reduced their hours or taken a leave of absence to accommodate their families’ needs during the pandemic.
More 6-Figure Job Openings Are Remote Than Based In Big Cities
Remote employers have overtaken major U.S. cities in terms of high-paying job opportunities, new research shows. The shift comes after the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced millions of people to work from home and thousands of companies to rethink the future of their workforces and remote or hybrid-work options to keep employees satisfied.
Forcing Employees To Return To The Office? Prepare To Face The Consequences
Employees do not have to be together in an office five days a week to do their jobs well. In fact, given the global nature of many businesses today, it was already common before the coronavirus pandemic for employees to work a day or two outside the office. The pandemic has only strengthened the urgency for companies to adapt: We should not be forcing people back into the office. And with cases of the Delta variant rapidly multiplying, future-proofing your hybrid workforce is the prudent thing to do.
Pandemic Caused Many Boomers To Retire. What That Means For The Economy—And Everyone Else
Even with declining numbers of young Americans entering the job market and the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration, U.S. employers were able to count on the last of the baby boomers to prevent labor shortages and soaring wages. But the COVID-19 pandemic has hit that long-standing reality like a hand grenade.
These Are The 10 Most Annoying Workplace Buzzwords Of 2021
Look, we get it. The hive nature of the business world means you’re bound to pick some jargon or sayings that seem ridiculous, maybe even cliched, at first. Eventually, though, you’ll find yourself saying things in an email like “let’s hop on a call” or you’ll comment on these “trying times”. We’re begging you, though. Stop.
