Global Emotions Survey Shows Record High Levels Of People ‘Feeling Stressed, Sad, Angry And Worried’
Gallup, a large polling company, sought to find out the mood of the world with a Global Emotions Report, surveying 160,000 people in 116 countries during 2020 and early 2021. The results of the study show that more people felt “stressed, sad, angry and worried in 2020 more than at any point in Gallup’s global tracking.” Gallup claims that it’s not solely due to the worldwide pandemic; though, it is a major contributor. The trend of happiness has been trending downward for over a decade.
Senate Unveils $1 Trillion Package To Improve The Nation’s Crumbling Infrastructure And Create Millions Of New Jobs
After lengthy and heated negotiations, the United States Senate has unveiled a nearly $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package on Sunday night. The bipartisan bill will allocate the funds toward rebuilding the country’s crumbling airports, tunnels, railways, public transit systems, ports, bridges, roads and waterworks. Money would be spent on improving internet broadband connectivity and the nation’s electric grid. Investments will be made in building electric vehicle charging stations and helping to keep our water clean.

New York Governor Calls On All Private Businesses To Become ‘Vaccine Only’ In The State
Governor Andrew Cuomo has called on private businesses in New York to become “vaccine only” with customers and employees to prevent a “worst case scenario” amid the coronavirus pandemic. About 60 percent of New York residents were fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and more than 70 percent have at least one dose of a vaccine. But New York has recorded a “four-fold” increase in daily Covid-19 cases to more than 2,000 over the past month, Cuomo said during a Monday news conference.
