An Apple employee who was placed on leave in early August after tweeting about sexism at the company has shared further allegations of bullying and mismanagement. Senior engineering program manager Ashley Gjøvik has added to earlier public claims of “sexism, a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, unsafe working conditions, and retaliation.”
Airlines Split On Whether To Mandate Covid Vaccines For Employees
U.S. airlines are increasingly divided over whether to require their flight attendants, pilots and other employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19. United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines this month said their U.S. employees, a total of some 73,000 people, must get vaccinated against the virus. Alaska Airlines said it’s considering a similar mandate for its some 20,000 employees if the Food and Drug Administration gives one of the vaccines full approval, a step that’s expected next month.

More Than One-Third Of Remote Workers Are Still Waiting For Their Employer’s Return-To-Office Plan
The resurgence of Covid-19 cases due to the delta variant is casting uncertainty on future plans yet again, including the return to offices. Some 36% of people currently working from home say they’re still waiting to hear from their employer about whether they’ll stay remote or be expected to return to the workplace anytime soon, according to a survey of nearly 3,000 American workers conducted by LinkedIn in July.
