President Joe Biden has called for states and local governments to offer $100 payments to newly vaccinated Americans, in an attempt to increase the rates of inoculations. The U.S. Treasury Department said that it has the money allocated from the $350 billion relief funds, which could be used to offer the $100 incentives.
Biden Calls On Cuomo To Resign After Bombshell Sexual Harassment Report
President Joe Biden called on Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign Tuesday, following an official report that said Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women. “He should resign,” Biden told reporters at the White House. Asked whether Cuomo should be removed from office if he refuses to resign, Biden said, “I understand the state legislature may decide to impeach, I do not know that for a fact.”
FBI Used Pictures Of Staff For Undercover Sex Crime Stings
A watchdog report said the support staff members were not certified to work undercover in this manner. It noted that the photos could potentially put staff in danger. In response, the FBI has said it accepted the findings. The agency will change its policies and implement new guidelines.
Target To Pay 100% Of College Tuition And Textbooks In Bid To Attract Workers
Target said Wednesday it will offer new perks to woo workers: a debt-free way to get a college degree and payments toward graduate programs. Starting this fall, the big-box retailer said it will cover the cost of tuition, fees and textbooks for part- and full-time workers who pursue a qualifying undergraduate degree at more than 40 institutions. It will also fund advanced degrees, paying up to $10,000 each year for master’s programs at those schools.

Vanguard Offers $1,000 To Employees To Get Vaccinated By October
Vanguard Group Inc. is offering $1,000 to employees who get vaccinated by October, according to a person familiar with the matter. The asset manager is extending the payments to all workers who can prove they’ve gotten a Covid-19 vaccine, even if they were inoculated before the firm extended the offer. A Vanguard spokeswoman confirmed the company is offering an incentive.
