As people return to headquarters and other locations, the next step for Goldman and other businesses is to decide their approach toward vaccinations. CNBC reported that Goldman is requiring its bankers, brokers, traders and other staff members to inform the bank by noon Thursday of their vaccination status, according to an internal memo.
World’s Biggest Meat Producer JBS Pays $11M Cybercrime Ransom
JBS, the world’s biggest meat processor, has paid an $11m ransom after a cyber attack shut down operations, including abattoirs in the US, Australia and Canada. While most of its operations have been restored, the Brazilian-headquartered company said it hoped the payment would head off any further complications including data theft. JBS, which supplies more than a fifth of all beef in the US, reportedly made the payment in bitcoin.

They may not be terminating pandemic unemployment benefits like their GOP peers, but Democratic governors are also prodding Americans to go back to work amid a surging number of job openings. And so is President Joe Biden. More than a dozen Democrat-led states have reinstituted work search requirements, many of them in the past few weeks, according to data compiled by ZipRecruiter, a job posting site. And they are telling the jobless that they risk losing their benefits if they don’t comply or accept suitable offers.

Yes, the super-rich are different than the rest of us. A lot of them pay very little in income taxes. Some of the world’s wealthiest executives, including Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, Michael Bloomberg and Elon Musk, pay little to no taxes compared to their wealth, a ProPublica report revealed on Tuesday. “The tax law is not designed for the wage worker,” said Eric Pierre, an Austin, Texas-based certified public accountant and owner at Pierre Accounting.
Millennial Millionaires Have A Large Share Of Their Wealth In Crypto, CNBC Survey Says
Nearly half of millennial millionaires have at least 25% of their wealth in cryptocurrencies, as the crypto boom continues to create wealth for young, early adopters, according to the CNBC Millionaire Survey. Some 47% of millennial millionaires surveyed have more than 25% of their wealth in cryptocurrencies, according to the survey of 750 investors with at least $1 million in investible assets. More than a third of millennial millionaires have at least half their wealth in crypto.
